Saturday 1 May – Saturday 31 July, 10 am – 4 pm, open Wednesday-Saturday
A special exhibition at Lowewood Museum. In July 1946, in a meeting at the Co-op Hall in Waltham Cross, it was decided to form a ‘new’ Cheshunt Football Club. Fifteen years earlier, the ‘old’ Cheshunt had folded after a 50 year existence and the town was left without a football club to call its own during that time. This exhibition covers the history of both clubs: their highs and lows, victories and defeats, smiles and tears with pictures and items of interest from the black and white striped Victorians to the current Ambers who play on Theobalds Lane.
