Following last year’s successful dig, Enfield Archaeological Society will once again be opening an exploratory trench on the site of Theobalds Palace. The main objective of the dig will be to try and locate the line of the original approach road to the palace. The dig will take place over the weekend of July 11 & 12, with the 12th being open to the public for questions, artefact identification, and activities for children and families. The event is free and there is no need to book.
