HODDESDON was rocked this week by news that the developer of the new Fawkon Walk complex has gone into administration.

The bombshell means that relocation of the Amwell Street Surgery to a brand new purpose-built medical centre in the revamped shopping mall will be delayed for months while new shop units remain empty.

The cracks started to show earlier this year when police were called as workers began removing roof panels from the newly-completed canopy in the precinct, allegedly over money owed to their company.
